sarah williams

MOT, OTR/L

Special Interests & Certifications:  sensory integration & processing, feeding therapy, Handwriting Without Tears, fine motor development, visual motor/perceptual development, Zones of Regulation, torticollis and plagiocephaly, Safe Zone training, and Therapeutic Listening.

Sarah received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology & Minor in Biology from Florida State University. She obtained her Master's in Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. She was born & raised in sunny south Florida and moved to the Queen City, Charlotte, in 2022.

Sarah has experience working with the medically fragile pediatric population in Prescribed Pediatric Extneded Care centers in adaptive school systems, outpatient pediatrics, special needs dance programs, and adult inpatient rehabilitation. Sarah is highly passionate about working in pediatrics and has completed a number of certification courses such as SOS Apporach to Feeding, Zones of Regulation, Safe Zone training, and Handwriting Without Tears.

Sarah believes in being the change she wants to see in the world and strives to build a more culturally receptive and aware generation of healthcare professional (through hosting seminars, workshops, and being a change agent). She practices patient-family first care that incorporates creativity, play, family and collaboration. She understands that every child should have the opportunity to learn, grow, feel supported, feel heard and most importantly smile throughout their therapy journey.  She believes that "it's the little things" that make big differences. 

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys being an auntie, dancing, watching anime, reading, learning languages (currently: Spanish, Japanese, Creole) and exploring local pastry shops.
