Sheila Brennan

Sheila graduated from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, in 1996. She has extensive experience in a variety of settings including home and hospital based, in and out-patient rehabilitation, preschools, public schools, and a sensory clinic. She has worked in Ireland, the South East USA and Colorado. In her 26 years as a practicing OT she has worked with children with many diagnoses and difficulties.
Sheila is passionate about using a bottom up approach to therapy, and helping children realize their full potential. She believes strongly on a collaborative approach with children and their caregivers. She has completed many sensory integration courses, and has training in various reflex integration approaches including Rhythmic Movement Training, Quantum Reflex Integration, and most recently, MNRI. In addition, Sheila has training and experience in the use of Integrated Listening Systems, Safe and Sound Protocol, Handwriting Without Tears, Brain Gym and DIR Floortime.

Sheila is a native of Ireland, and moved to the US in 2005 with her American husband. They returned to the South East in 2021 after almost a decade in Colorado. Outside of work, Sheila enjoys family life with her husband and two children. She loves to be outdoors, hiking and moving, and loves to travel as much as life allows.
